Remarkable Current Indonesian Tour-Jakarta • Padang • Medan • Surabaya

The following interviews took place with personnel both from the U.S. Embassy, Jakarta and American Consulate, Medan, North Sumatra, in Indonesia. 

During a two week tour of Indonesia, Remarkable Current performed hip hop shows to thousands of Indonesians at concerts that were broadcast throughout Southeast Asia to millions of viewers. 

As cultural ambassadors, RC also provided person-to-person outreach through panel discussions, Q & A sessions, press conferences, radio interviews and most importantly musical collaborations with young people of all ages, from orphanages to universities, with a message of peace and unity. 


Remarkable Current’s Hip Hop Ambassadors were honored to participate in this record breaking cultural exchange with the people of Indonesia. 

The response was unprecedented and the tour received more press coverage than any other arts program invited to the region.
